OBJECTIVES AND NEEDS OF THE PROJECT

 

1) Turkey has “limited” progress in waste management field.

2) As”regular storing technique” used in waste management is a new practice in Turkey, it has not reached to the desired levels.

3) Awareness raising is needed about separating the waste according to its type in Kuşadası.

4) As well as the dissemination of EU legislation in the direction of integration is one of the purposes in the scope of our project, building an approach which spreads from bottom to top for creation of an inclusive policy to support this integration.

5) We aim to reach elimination of imbalances in waste management between developed European countries and developing member countries and candidate countries.

 

BASIC ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT

  3. INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO DE CASTILLA Y LEON – ITCL (Spain): Biodegradable Solid Waste Management
  4. ASSOCIATION MAISON DE LA PROMOTION SOCIALE – MPS (France): End-of-life Tires Wastes Management
  5. KUŞADASI Municipality (Turkey) : Packaging Waste Management
  6. ORADEA University (Romania): Electric and Electronic Wastes Management
  7. EKOVAR Group (Turkey): Waste Vegetable Oil Management

 

 

 

 

  • A web-portal created including all modules and project information.
  • Final Conference,
  • Field study(awareness raising) has conducted in Kuşadası.

 

THE EDUCATION/TRAINING MODULES

The one of the targeted objectives of our project is learning EU waste management regulation and technologies through mutual exchange of information and then creating a training module between EU member or candidate states.

 

 

THE PORTAL

Portal established is the evidence of cooperation, besides, the expected result ‘facilitating exchange of information on Turkey and EU regulation, help  to alignment with EU integration process by improving existing capacities of the institutions’ will be achieved.

 

 

FIELD STUDY

Increasing participation of youth about waste management technologies through field study in Kusadası and regulations and arising public awareness  are among expected results.

 

 

 

WORKSHOPS

Workshop activities based on exchange of information have been organized in partners’ countries under six main headlines

  2. Spain : Industrial Waste Management, Biodegradable Solid Waste Management
  3. France: End-of-life Tires Wastes Management
  4. Romania: Electric and Electronic Wastes Management
